Chairman’s visit to Coventry

On receipt of a personal invitation by Shree Wanza Community of Coventry to attend and chair the Annual General Meeting, Arunbhai Tank, VCSL’s Chairman, and his wife Ranjanben, made a visit to Coventry on 9 November 2008.

Diwali celebrations in Croydon

After the warm welcome at the entrance, the guests and members were directed to the dinning hall for a delicious meal. Bhaturas and Kachoris were cooked at the premises and rest of the items were warmed for the diners to enjoy the food.

Graduation Day

After 5 years of hard work and study at the University of Bristol’s Dental School, all the students and their families gathered for the final time on 18th July 2008 for our Degree Congregation.

KUMON MATHS AWARD TO A YOUNG VANZA

Those who are unaware, the main aim of learning Kumon Maths is to make the study of secondary school maths easier. It develops total fluency in arithmetic, mastery in basic algebra and improves skills in concentration, independent study and perseverance.

2008 EXAMINATION RESULTS

As most of us are aware, this year’s A level examination results that were declared on 14 August 2008 have been much better than in the previous years. The pass rate this year rose to 97.2% from 96.9% in previous year.

MONSOON EXPERIENCE

VCSL’s treasurer, Rameshbhai Bharkhada is, at present, in Jamshedpur, India but keeps abreast, via email, with the financial matters of VCSL constantly whilst abroad.

Manoj Arunkumar Tank passed his final dentistry examination on Friday, 13 June 2008, at the University of Bristol.

NIMISHA’S BIRTHDAY

A very joyous occasion took place on 18 May 2008 at the Archbishop Lanfranc School where Nimisha, daughter of Meeraben and Alpeshbhai Purshottam Jethwa, celebrated her 8th birthday in presence of her parents, grand-parents, brother, aunties and uncles.

VCSL HONOURS’ LIST

The Honours’ List was revealed at our Annual General meeting on Sunday, 18 May 2008 when presentations were made to the youngsters on the list and who attended the meeting.
