SAMUH BHAJANS 2010

In response to VCSL invitation to all our Vanza bandhus and sponsors to attend the ever popular programme of Samuh Bhajans, we were delighted to welcome all those who attended which were many more than in the previous dinneryears. As soon as the delicious lunch was heartily taken, our young Vanzas were present to put a ’tilak’ on forehead of everyone entering the main function hall.

As always but with no compulsion, the Treasury desk was well placed in the hall so that no one would miss out their contributions to VCSL!

The ever-popular bhajan singer, Shree Pravinbhai Nagla, with his mandli started the programme with chanting Hanuman Chaalisa followed by Dhoon.

During the short interval, two minutes’ silence was observed by all present to respect our ancestors and beloved ones who have passed away. The programme continued with singing of devotional bhajans by Pravinbhai and his mandli. We were fortunate to have the presence of Shree Haridaan Gadhvi who was invited by Pravinbhai on to the stage to present an appropriate bhajan to the congregation. It was a moving experience hearing both the bhajan experts singing at our Samuh Bhajans. The allocated time passed so quickly that the programme seemed to be too short and hence many requested that allocated time be stretched in future.

The pleasure was our, to bestow the honour upon Manubhai Raghavji Jethwa (a founding member and a trustee of the Board of VCSL) to lead the main Hingraj Mataji’s Aarti with his family members at the function. All those present joined this prominent Jethwa family at the Aarti time and experienced the ecstasy of chanting the Hingraj Mataji ni Aarti and Thaal. Our thanks to Manubhai who accepted the honour. May Hingraj Mataji and Guru Gopal Lalji bless him and his family members with happiness in future.

The Samuh Bhajan 2010 started little late than scheduled but ended promptly in time at 7pm, just the time for ‘Faarari Prasad’, and for all to be at home early to wake up in time for the next day for work!

Highlight of all the compliments that VCSL received for this great event was: What wonderful decorations display in the foyer and the main hall!
