On receipt of a personal invitation by Shree Wanza Community of Coventry to attend and chair the Annual General Meeting, Arunbhai Tank, VCSL’s Chairman, and his wife Ranjanben, made a visit to Coventry on 9 November 2008. Following the warm welcome, the AGM commenced in time, all agenda followed with no hitches and finished with all the previous committee members being re-elected together with six new young enthusiastic and energetic members!

The traditional lunch which was prepared by their members, was delicious. This was ‘home-made food’ prepared at the temple and served hot! The ladies made sure that we do not get up our chairs with half empty-stomach; no one would with such mouth-watering food!

The Diwali celebrations by Shree Wanza Community of Coventry began thereafter with live music by a famous Karaoke group from North London. A mix of old and recent songs & bhangra music got every one jumping to the floor to dance with rhythm. It is an overwhelming joy to see how happy everyone was at the Vanza gathering. May Hinglaj Maa bless them with all the happiness in future and may our community maintain their unity.

It was a sad feeling to part from there at the end of the great evening, but there you are, Arunbhai and Ranjanben had to return home with memories of their visit still lingering. They covey their thanks to each and every committee members and also non-committee members for their warmth and hospitality.
