Pervinben Davadra organised a bhajan programme on 29 December 2007 in memory of her husband, Narendrabhai. The bhajans were held at a church hall in West Wickham where Pervinben’s family members and all the Davadra family members, close friends and the committee members & trustees of VCSL were present.

Dipesh Davadra, younger son of late Shree Narendrabhai, said: “My dad passed away on 28 December 2007 at Kings College Hospital, London. It has been a tough year, and to mark the one year anniversary of his passing, we organised an intimate bhajan evening dedicated to him.

“My dad was a great fan of bhajans and he would have definitely enjoyed this one! Family, friends and those closest to him made a special effort to attend the evening, to celebrate his life and to remember his greatest moments. An excellent group from Harrow, Jai Bapa Sitaram Bhajan Mandal, sang some beautiful songs that were appreciated by all those that attended. Some light refreshments were also provided, all home made which went down very well.

“My mum and I wanted to make this a memorable evening dedicated to my dad. He was such a great man, respected by many and always helping others. We miss him, and we know he is smiling down on us...”

Surely, his presence was felt in the church hall. We all miss him and pray to Maa Hingraj and Guru Gopal Lalji that his soul rests in peace.
