| There couldn’t have been a better way to start celebrations on the completion of 15 years of The Vanza Community of South London than to have a special programme where Hanuman Chaalisa was chanted 108 times. This took place on 30 September 2007 in the main hall of the Archbishop Lanfranc School where the chanting started at 10.00am and finished at 4.30pm. We were very delighted to see the presence of the devotees, some of whom were Yajmaans and others who participated by chanting the Hanuman Chaalisa.
Our thanks to Jyotiben and Manusukhbhai Keshavji Parmar for making arrangements to bring Pujya Rambapa and his satsang mandli together with Hridan Gadhvi and Pravinbhai Nagla to take the lead in the chanting.
Lunch was served from 1.00pm onwards and continued until 5.00pm, after which devotees had the pleasure of listening to bhajans sung by Haridan Gadhvi. The Mahaprasad was served before all the devotees departed.
We wish to assure all our Vanzas and the other devotees who attended the programme, that this event was entirely organised by The Vanza Community of South London (VCSL) and that we were totally committed financially to meet all the expenses that were incurred on the day.
Nevertheless, we were extremely fortunate to receive financial support from Pushpaben, wife of Shree Babulalbhai Nathalal Parmar, who sponsored the entire cost of lunch in the sum of £1,050. They had come all the way from North London to be present to support this programme and we are overwhelmed with gratitude to both of them.
In addition, other Vanzas, whether they attended or not, continued their financial support by donating large and small sums of money. The loyalty and support they have shown towards our organisation is unforgettable. We thank them in abundance.
In conclusion, we can say that the 15 years’ celebrations have taken off very well. |
